Institute of Public Administration (IPA)

Institute of Public Administration (IPA)

About The Institute

Students entering the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) must successfully pass a one year intensive English program. The English Language Center (ELC) at the IPA is responsible for this intensive English program. There are four sessions each academic year, each session being eight weeks. Currently CALL is being integrated into a skill based program.
Teachers in the program must have completed an MA in TESL/TEFL or Applied Linguistics. The faculty of the ELC represent many different cultures and nationalities. We currently have teachers from the US, Canada, Britain Ireland, Scotland, South Africa and several different Arabic countries, including of course Saudi Arabia.
The student body is composed of young men who have completed high school and in some cases university (BA, Ma and Phd holders). They are all Saudi nationals with an occasional small group from one of the other GCC countries.
The IPA has an excellent reputation. Students who complete the English program and subsequent programs in Hospital Administration, Executive Secretary, Sales, Information Studies, Travel and Tourism, Customs Procedures, Hotel Services Accounting etc. receive a certificate that is a definite asset in finding employment in both the private and public sectors.
Click on our Applicant's Handbook for more extensive information. Download the ELC Application and forward it by e-mail attachment to the address below if you wish to join us and judge that you have the necessary qualifications.
From time to time, additional attachments will be added to this site, so come back again.
